You are NOT a candidate for cosmetic tattoos if any of the following apply-
Pregnant or Nursing
Under the age of 18
Chemotherapy and Radiation full treatments - prophylactic chemotherapy is generally safe to proceed
Active dermatologic disorders, i.e. rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, acne, shingles
Sick with flu/fever
Active HSV anywhere on the face
The following Require Waiting Periods before your brow session:
Botox or Dysport ~ 14 days (before or after brows)
Fillers ~ 1 week
Accutane ~ 1 year (half-dose or prophylactic dose needs medical clearance)
Topical Acne Cream, ie. Benzoyl Peroxide, Clindamycin, Pro-Active. ~ 1 week
Sunburned skin ~ 1 month
Retinol or Tretinoin use ~ 3 weeks
Chemical Peels ~ 4 weeks
Laser Facial/Resurfacing ~ 8 weeks
Microneedling ~ 6 weeks
Microneedling Radiofrequency ~ 8 weeks
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) ~ 2-weeks post
Laser used to remove old permanent makeup ~ 8 weeks
Require Medical Clearance*/Pre-Medication
Heart valves, all stents, titanium rods, screws, pacemakers, rheumatic fever ~ medical clearance and pre-medication
Organ transplants ~ medical clearance and pre-medication
Joint replacements ~ medical clearance and pre-medication
Insulin dependent diabetics ~ medical clearance and pre-medication
Fever blister history ~ medical clearance and pre-medication min. 2-days prior and 4-days post
Shingles history ~ medical clearance and pre-medication, even with immunization
Hyper Thyroid – Grave’s Disease
Seizures ~ medical clearance
Blood thinners, long term steroids ~ medical clearance
Lupus/ Autoimmune Disease ~ medical clearance and pre-medication
